Where the X Goes is run by Sean Platt. This page says what the site collects, why, and how to have it removed.
Two pages ask for your name and email. The application at /call sends it to me by email through Formspark. The Decoder at /decoder adds you to my mailing list through Kit, along with your twelve answers and which layer of your work came out deepest. Nothing else on the site asks you for anything.
Google Analytics counts visits and sets a cookie in your browser. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and sets no cookie. Both tell me which pages people read and where they arrived from. Neither tells me who you are.
Formspark, Kit, Google and Cloudflare, each doing the job named above, and nobody else. I do not sell, rent or trade any of it.
Applications sit in my email. Subscribers stay on the list until they leave.
Every email carries an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. To have everything removed, write to [email protected] and I will delete it.
The only cookie this site sets is Google’s. Blocking it changes nothing about how the site works.
If any of this changes I will date it here. Last updated 15 September 2026.
